Doesn't work for me

This smells awful. I ended up adding rose geranium which improved it. It doesn't absorb just sits on my skin which feels better for a while but as it wears off skin is tight & dry again. Not moisturizing or nourishing. Will end up using for something else.

Favourite skin moisturiser

Still my go-to face product. I feel it hydrates and nourishes me skin well since I have dry skin and live in a dry climate. I alternate it with Castor Oil which gives my skin an extra boost

Absolutely love this balm! May seem a bit pricey, but a little goes a very long way. I combine it with a drop of the FTN castor oil, and this has been a winning combo. One of my FTN buys!

My skin in glowing

I was using a similar product for a few years and recently tried this one for a change (because of the amazing reviews on FtN!) and so far so good. There is not much honey smell unfortunately, but at least it's not overly infused with essential oils either! My skin is literally glowing after a week of use. I think I've found my current favourite face balm 🙂

A great moisturiser for dry skin/eczema

I have been using this moisturising balm for about 2 weeks now and I am thoroughly enjoying it as my skin is dry and needs a lot of moisture. Not much is needed per application so the jar will last a long time. The only thing to note is that the balm is in scented, so the natural waxy/propolis smell takes getting used to. Would definitely recommend, especially for those with eczema.

Excellent daily moisturizer

This is my daily moisturizer that I use after a bath. I am on my third tub and I doubt I will ever use anything else. It is rich and my skin feels so soft and smooth after. It also does not burn my eyes if I accidentally spread it too close. I’m very happy with this product.

The 100ml bottle isn’t plastic free though, so I don’t quite know why FTN advertises it as such.

I have eczema and before I found this product I struggled finding a product that didn't cause me issues. Since I started using this product 4 years ago, it's the only skin moisturizer I've ever needed. It's easy to apply, light and you only need a little so the small pot lasts up to 8 months for me.

I received this product as a tester a couple of months ago and started using it recently only to find out that it is the best thing ever! Especially during the hot months in Bloemfontein where your face cream just melts from your face as you perspire (I know, not a flattering thought). Although the consistency of it is waxy, it glides on your skin, loving it the whole day (even under your mask), providing a healthy glow and gives a supple feeling and appearance to the skin. Ultimate hydration and glow

I first received this product as a complimentary sample accompanying a FTN order. I ignored it for months because I already had a face cream. Or so I thought. My skin was getting dry and taught and I decided to dip into this Balm. Initial impression scooping it out was fear. It is literally a balm. I thought it would be too heavy and that I would get acne. Let me tellllll you. I woke up the next day with supply glowy skin. It’s like the face just a sucks this stuff up. I’m convinced there is some sort of antibacterial element in it because my face just seems cleaner and clearer- as though my pores are quietly being magically scrubbed. I went through that sample very quickly and then ordered the biggest version of this balm. Woweeee I am so happy! Then I found out they had a whole range of products that I am off to review happily! Give it a shot. It’s incredible value for the quantity and QUALITY that you are getting! Love love love!!

I have very dry, sensitive rosacea prone skin which loves this product. I first tried it as a sample with a package and thought it would be too thick and heavy but it goes onto my skin smoothly and is absorbed in. My skin is soft in the morning. My skin can only benefit as I use it regularly.

Love the oily feeling in my hands whilst applying. It’s rich and perfect for my dry skin in the am. My skin feels hydrated and ‘glowy’ once applied. I don’t wear makeup often but will give it a go using Bee Natural Rich Rehydrating Face Balm as the base.
My 15yr old daughter uses this and loves the hydrating property’s Loved how it makes her skin ‘glow after applying it.
I use the excess on my hands and cuticles which is Fab.

I love this product. It’s extremely oily but in a good way, especially if you suffer from dry skin. When you choose to apply it is entirely up to you. I choose to use it at night rather than during the day because of how oily it is, but it is do able for during the day if you don’t mind. Really does moisture the skin. It’s even great to use the excess for your cuticles. It’ll last really long as well because of the texture.

The smell though...

Love how rich it is, don't like the smell for some reason. It smells just like honey which is a little off putting for me. Makes me feel like I might be attacked by some disgruntled bees if I went outside in the daytime. It's a yummy smell but I don't want my face cream to smell like it.

I use and like this product but why bother with this gobbledygook "the actual substance of retinol is not in the product, but the frequency of retinol is in it"? What does that mean exactly? If there is no actual retinol in the product don't lie and claim there is.

I got a small tub of this as a sample with one of my other orders and now it is a staple in my skincare routine. I find it a little too rich for day time, but perfect to apply before bed to moisturise and sink into your skin while you sleep.

Nourishing day moisturiser

This is my go-to moisturiser that I use day in and day out. I sometimes use it at night, but generally it's my day moisturiser and I use the Liquid gold Serum at night. I find it keeps my skin moist, supple and feeling nourished and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I've been using this daily (mornings) for 4 months now and my skin has definitely regained its youthful radiance. I saw results immediately, and the general condition of my skin then started to improve even without having the balm on. I suffer from eczema and I ordered this after I had a very bad reaction to another face moisturizer. My skin was inflamed then flaky, and so sensitive. This rich face balm was the only thing I could use on my skin. It's very 'oily' , which might not suit all, but it's fine for me. It soaks in after a while. I love applying it to my lips.

Bought a few Bee Natural products looking for more natural, palm oil free and lovally made products. Dont like the texture - like applying oily wax to skin. Poor absorption. Very oily - everything sticks to it. Skin dried out. Even the smell of it does not make me excited to use any of their products. Considering to bin them all.

At first I thought it was far too oily to use, but after a week or two my dry/combination skin adjusted and now it just sucks in the moisture. I even started using it in the mornings without an excess oily feeling. I try to leave a few minutes to allow it to soak in before applying makeup. Smells good. Has left my skin feeling soft.

I really love bee natural's products, although initially when you use it on your face it feels oily, it really absorbs wonderfully and keeps you hydrated through the day. I will never change to another moisturizer and hopes it never discontinues!

Any Product works much better when paired with care for what you put inside your body.
This is a great moisturizer; I realized that eating healthier, staying hydrated [Plain water] and a little bit of movement has actually made skin healthier when paired with this product

Too rich for normal skin, and gets sticky and smells horrible if it gets old

I received it as a sample and initially used it, but found it to be too oily for my skin (which is neither oily nor dry). Left it aside, and after a long time, thought I should just finish it to not waste it. But (although it had been closed properly) I found that it had become very sticky - unusable - and smelling very bad. It was difficult to wash the tiny patch off my finger, and the smell also remained for a while. This is a product that I'll definitely not buy. My suggestion for those who do purchase it, is to make sure to use it fully, so it's finished before it gets old.

Three years ago when we decided to go chemical free I stopped using any and all beauty products and so as a result my skin suffered a lot. I finally decided to bite the bullet and try some natural products.
OMW! I'm totally blown away!!! My skin feels so soft and amazing and beautifully rehydrated after such a long dry period.
I would suggest that you give it time to penetrate before bed or before makeup because it is oily and does take a while to soak in.
This works perfect for me because my mornings aren't rushed but if you're rushing to get to the office this should be kept for your evening routine.

Not working for me

I really wanted to like this product, so after reading the reviews I went ahead and bought 2. My skin is very dry and although the hard consistency or smell does not bother me at all, I find my skin to be even drier in the mornings after using it at night. Disappointed in myself for buying 2, might have to re-gift the unused one.

The product is great for dry skin so I'm using it daily as a moisturiser at the moment until the summer weather sets in. It wouldn't be a bad thing if some essential oil was added to give it an even better scent. Maybe Rose geranium or a citrus scent 🙂

Great results

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with the results. I use it at night only and it makes my skin feel soft and smooth. It is really nourishing and doesn’t cause my skin to break out like some rich products do. It did take some getting used to when I started using it. Although I’ve used face balms often before, this seemed too greasy and not very nourishing after my first few uses but after continuing with it, I changed my mind.

Beautiful product!

Smooths out fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and under eye makeup applies so much easier. I would recommend using a makeup brush to apply the product as it is solid and doesn't apply easily.

I recently stopped taking the synthetic hormones I'd been polluting my body with for many years, resulting in what I like to call "crocodile skin". Add to that the harsh, unforgiving winters of the Free State and you get the (not so pretty) picture.
Was it not for this richly luxurious lifesaver of a product packed with all the moisturising goodness our friends the bees produce, that picture would've been even uglier.
If you suffer from dry, thirsty skin or simply desire a moisture boost as part of your skincare routine, this product will not disappoint. Very (very!) little is needed at a time and your skin will thank you for it. Just be sure to wait a fair amount of time for the product to be well absorbed, so as to avoid an oily residue on your pillowcases.

Have been using this product now for about five years. As I have sjogrens my skin is terribly dry. My skin does not feel greasy at all. It is chemical free and my skin feels silky. Live in an area with high humidity in summer yet am still able to use this product. Winter though is a must

Received a sample and have been using it as a night face cream. Feels moisturizing. I'm just not fond of the hard texture, i prefer softer creams for my face. It does soften easily and quickly once you apply it, but softer creams are just my personal preference. The fragrance isn't unpleasant but it's a bit boring for my liking too...not that that is a reason not to buy it 🙂

Nature's own anti-ageing balm

I've always believed bees are one of the miracle workers of nature. I received this face balm as a free sample and so far it seems to do what it should. I think it has helped to combat the dry winter skin on my face and is also good for treating mild eczema. Just one note though: the leaflet that came with the sample said that it is also good for an eye cream. However, I would not advise using this (or any other product containing beeswax) near the eyes. The cortisone that is a natural component of beeswax can cause glaucoma if it is used on the eyelids or get into the eye.

Best face balm!

This is the only face balm I use. Day and night. It is quite heavy as people mention, but just put a little into your hands and rub together to warm up and then apply to your face. It's a lot lighter then, and also once it settles it's perfect. I really enjoy using this balm. No other needed.

Bought this in October 2016 and Still using it every day! I mainly use it at night then I pat in a lot around my eyes. My boyfriend also uses it as a moisturised. Feels nice and smooth and no real smell for me. I sometimes mix it with argan oil or with store bought acne cream and I love it. Will order again if this is ever done as you don't need a lot to go a long way. Does sometimes leave my skin a bit oily in summer but then I just use it at night

Ek hou regtig baie van die produk. Dis die eerste keer wat ek Bee Natural gebruik en ek is nou n fan. Aan die begin ruik mens die carrot oil maar as dit op jou vel kom ruik jy net heuning. Ek moet myself keer om twee keer na mekaar te smeer. Dit sink vinnig is en voel glad nie waxy soos partymense noem. Ek gebruik dit net in die aande maar my vel voel die dag daarna nog bevog en sag.

If I had known how fantastic this is, I would have purchased two when it was on sale. You do smell the carrot seed oil, but only momentarily, it does not linger on the skin. Also a little goes a long way, so even the 100 ml pot should last quite a while.

Very hydrating, leaving skin smooth and soft

I love this product. I have very dehydrated and dry skin. For dry skin or mature skin this is the best hydrating cream I have used in years! It is made of beeswax and other natural products, so take that into account with the bad ratings given about texture of the cream. I suppose that is part of the success. Do allow some time for the product to be absorbed into your skin. I wait at least 30 minutes before applying make-up or going to bed. (could use less time but I prefer to wait for it to really sink in) But the results are amazing! I use it with the liquid gold serum, also from Bee Natural. Will defnately be using this product for year to come.

Best face balm

My favorite face balm, gets used on my hands, and arms and legs too when they're dry and works a treat. Very rich so a little goes a long way but absorbs quickly, love the fragrance which does also fade away quickly. So happy to have found something full of the good stuff without parabens, other dodgy preservatives or petroleum products.

This is a nice product, but it is very oily. So if you have oily skin or combination skin, you will feel very oily all day long. Use this as a night cream during dry winter months instead.

I am so glad that I tried the sample first - just to realise that it is definitely not for me - I am returning my ordered jar. The balm smells terrible, the consistency is like clotted fat and I will not even use it on parched heels!

I have used a few different beeswax/honey products on my face and they always make my combination skin feel amazing, but shiny, so I have only used them at night. BUT this stuff is the best, my skin feels better than ever, looks clearer, and is plumper already - it absorbs really well so I can put it on in the morning and it has fully been absorbed long before I leave the house. Highly recommended

Sensitive and dry skin ELIXIR

Im in my early 20s and I have generally had dry skin in certain delicate areas; like around my mouth and eyelids. I have been using the Eucerin range and it has worked wonderfully; but every now and then (especially with season changes) my skin gets unhappy and starts to flake in those troublesome areas. I bought this balm because I wanted to supplement my face care regime with something natural.
No lie! This balm soothes and rehydrates my skin incredibly well. I have found, though, after using it exclusively (not using my normal day cream) it would rehydrate but stay quite greasy around the T-zone. However, it could just be because my skin was getting accustomed to the change. So as a rehydrating balm for sensitive and dry skin this works beautifully; but Id caution its exclusive use - especially since it doesn have any SPF. Also it will last forever! A little goes a seriously long way!

Feels like you might be in the beehive

This is a nourishing balm and good value. It is almost too oily but I guess that is a rare complaint for ageing dry skin. I haven fallen in love with this balm and I would be hesitant to recommend.

Best thing since slice bread!

Wow! My main aim for facial creams is that it must nourish and re-hydrate my face for about 12 hours or more. This definitely is the case. Can see that is might be too oily for some people, it feels like putting on honey mixed with vaseline but it is amazing afterwards and I already feel the difference in my skin texture.

Though I love all products by Bee natural but I am not very happy with this one. It felt very greasy on my skin, more like a barrier cream, didn absorb at all. could be used more like a hand cream, that too in the night

Works beautifully on healing tattoos!

As a face cream this one is a bit of a disaster - its very oily on your skin and I found it never really absorbs. I was also very attractive to every fly in the nearby vicinity. (I kid you not!) BUT I haven used a product that works quite so well on a new tattoo - no infection, very little scabbing and the area stays beautifully moisturised.

After reading other reviews I expected to only use this balm at night, but I use it in the mornings now too. I have oily skin, and I find that the balm is highly spreadable so you really need only a little bit. It creates a great base for foundation. I like a bit of luminescence on my face, I don go for the mat look at all, so this is perfect for me. If your aiming for mat then you will definitely not be able to use it as a day moisturiser. But still buy it, because it will be the best night moisturiser you ever use. I keep a little with me in a small tub and use it as a lip balm and eye balm throughout the day.

when I initially tried this product on my face it was rather greasy , I was disappointed but decided to stick with it because of the bee ingredients. I had some scarring from pimples and I kid u not its faded quite a bit .This product is a bottle of awesomeness !!
I use this as a day cream , and I use my sunscreen over it . Its a great base if you use foundation. This is truly an amazing product , my skin and texture looks great 🙂 its gives me a real glow that I love as im not into the matt look .

I have REALLY dry skin, and the only soap that I can use (that helped me clear up my acne after struggling with acne for about 5 years) dried my face out even more... so I tried this and the dryness is gone. The flaky patches on my skin is something of the past. The smell is not that bad and I only use it before bed time. It is really worth trying. I love it!!!

I wanted something that would nourish my skin and wow did I find it! The balm is thick and requires massaging to get it to absorb BUT the extra minute taken to massage it in also stimulates the skin (win win). I rub any residual on hands into the ends of my long hair (when dry) and it works as a great conditioner. I use the product as a night cream a little goes a long way.

No more oily skin

I have an oily skin, but not after using this. Its very oily on application when I use it as a night cream, but when waking up in the morning my skin is smooth and oil free. Skin has greatly improved with long term use

Super hydrating

Im using it as a night cream as Im always in a rush in the AM and don have time to let this settle into the skin before applying make up etc.

Fabulous...

I have been pleasantly surprised. At first I did battle with the smell. I found it to be quite strong, but persevered. I started using it as an eye cream and have been so pleased with the results, that I now use it as a night cream as well. My fine lines are disappearing and I can no longer smell it. Just give it a try....You wont be sorry!

Wow! Just what the doc ordered for dry skin! I use this cream at night as it does need to be massaged quite a bit into the skin. But, its lovely to wake up with a well nourished skin.

Works really well

I noticed a difference after a few days only - it has really hydrated my skin. It is quite oily when you apply it and takes a while to absorb, but I would really recommend it if your skin is dry or tired.

Face Balm

So happy with this product. Read the reviews before the purchase was - some were a concern. Live on the North Coast where it is very humid. Found even considering the humidity that this product absorbs beautifully. No sticky residue. I have mature skin which tends to be a bit dry. Very very happy. Will buy again

Highly Recommended!!! My skin looks and feels softer, cleaner, younger and fresh after just using this morning and evening. I also had a dry patch on my hairline that completely disappeared after 1 weeks use! This is definitely my moisturiser of choice.

Living in Joburg over the winter period is the worst for my skin. I used to have dry, peeling skin around my nose, and the rest of my face had that tight pulling feeling. Not anymore. This balm is miraculous, I wake up with super moisturised skin. Im happy to find something that is natural AND works.

I was worried about trying this balm as some users describe it as sticky and I have never used a balm on my face before. However, after being totally blown away by this suppliers Liquid Gold face serum I decided to risk it. Im very glad I did. It is solid and oily so very different to a cream, but if you take a small amount and rub it between the palms to warm it, it liquefies and is easy to apply to the face, Massage a little otherwise be patient and give it time to absorb. Leaves the skin feeling silky. Try it over the Liquid Gold serum for double silk. I also use it on my hands and still apply hand cream once it has absorbed.

I have been using this for about 2 weeks. My skin is feeling soft and nourished. No more tightness half way through the day. It does take a while to soak in, but I really don mind. Its a winter must have!

Eczema miracle

I received a sample of Bee Natural Rich Rehydrating Face Balm with one of my orders. I had an eczema flare up on my face at the time and used it one night out of sheer desperation. The next morning my skin was calmer and the irritation all but gone. After a few more days of use, my skin was clear and back to normal. I now always keep it handy.

Nourishing but don like the smell

A little goes a long way and is very nourishing. However I really don like the smell and use it on my fingers and cuticles instead.

Great night time treat for the face

I received a small tub of this as a sample in one of my orders, and have really been enjoying using it! It is ultra rich, and even though your skin is a little on the shiny side after application, it doesn cause my skin (naturally on the oily side as it) to break out. It leaves your skin smooth and soft. Great product to use after a face mask and before bed!

Utterly disappointed in this product. Its not particularly cheap and after only 1 application Ive broken out in the most terrible red dry patches on my face. I wouldn say i have particularly sensitive skin, this is the first product to give me such a reaction so definitely not suitable for everyone.

I found this cream to be a bit disappointing. It really seems to function best as a barrier cream because it didn feel like it was sinking into my skin at all.

This cream does the job and does it very well. Im in China at the moment, near the Gobi desert where its seriously dry and this is the only cream that works for me. I love to apply it in the morning and feel my skin relax. Have less pimples too!

Awesome product

This moisturizer does seem to work well. It doesn irritate sensitive skin my skin and works well as a night cream. It also does seem to offer sun protection, as advertised.
However it feels greasy going on, a bit like petroleum jelly, so a little bit will do. It takes a bit long to absorb. I probably will order it again.

Lovely!

Ive been wanting to try out this balm, but was a bit worried that it might be a bit too oily for my combination skin. I can happily report that it has worked beautifully, and although it does take some time to absorb, it makes my skin feel supple and moisturised all day long. I am currently using it as a day cream to benefit from the natural SPF, and it has been great in the dry Joburg winter. I will have to see if it works as well in summer, but so far I am very chuffed!

Fantastic For Facial Massage

I bought this balm to use as part of my facial massage routine and it is absolutely perfect. It is very rich and has the slippy feel on the skin that is just whats needed and when it sinks in leaves my skin feeling soft and looking glowy and fresh. I follow pretty much the same massage routine as shown in Lisa Eldridges video which can be found online and this truly is the perfect match for the holy grail of anti ageing skin treatments.

Not nourishing

I was really excited to get this product as I have a very dry skin and it is promoted as a very rich cream. It is very rich and thick, the only problem is it doesn soak into my skin at all and instead leaves a film on my pillows and leaves my skin feeling dry.

very disappointed

After trying out the Bee Natural face cleanser with happy results i was very excited to try this product out. I have sensitive and dry skin. This cream does not soak in AT ALL. It is only useful if you massage it in but even then it leaves an unsightly, oily sheen on my face. It is not.particularly hydrating at all. Ive found that my skin actually still feels dry sfter it soaks in. It is not particularly cheap. Would recommend that one rather buys from the victorian garden range.

Great Balm

I really like this balm. It makes my skin feel soft. I use it as a barrier cream at night. In the mornings my skin feels soft and moisterised.

I have a combination skin and feared that the cream might be too rich and would cause my skin to become greasy, but my skin is balanced, looks healthy and even toned, the pores are more refined, my frown lines are less pronounced and the crows feet around my eyes are fading. A face lift in a jar, and it won't break the bank. It's also a great primer for foundation. I am hooked!

This is the most amazing cream ever!!! When my skin is at its most sensitive I use this at night instead of my usual face oils. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels nourished and no longer looks or feels irritated. Even the odd pimple disappeared!

I only use this at night when my face feels very dry and it does the job! Although a bit heavy on my skin when applied, I do wake up with wonderfully re-hydrated and soft skin.

I just bought this balm on a buy 1 get 1 free promotion for Faithful's 12th Birthday Sale. It's an excellent product, I'm so glad I got it. Very hydrating, as everyone has said, it takes about 10 minutes to absorb into your skin. I've only used it once since it was only delivered today so I can't say anything about long term use but my skin was immediately hydrated and moisturized after use. I also love the ingredients. A little goes a long way so I'm happy that I'm probably sorted with an all natural moisturizer well into the next year!

Rich and soothing day/night cream

This is a very rich, nourishing moisturiser, but unfortunately my skin does not absorb it well. It does not cause breakouts, is soothing to my skin and provides more than enough moisture for my dry skin, so I would recommend it to people.

I love this product, I have been using it for 18 months now, still on my first jar) and I have ordered l more. It makes your skin silky soft and your skin looks so much better after use. Good face cream

This cream is very nice and hydrating for the skin however due to it's oiliness if it anywhere near my eyes it makes them quite irritable.

Hydrating night cream

This product is a little too heavy for morning use, but works wonders overnight. Very hydrating. Another Bee Natural wonder product!

The product is a bit too oily, so definitely not recommended to those with oily skin. However, it will eventually get absorbed by your skin - recommended to use during the night time.

Fantastic Moisturizing Balm

I use this product as my evening moisturizer. A small amount is enough to moisturize my skin without leaving it too oily. In terms of results, my skin has tolerated the product very well. My dry spots are gone, I no longer have pimples and my skin is more evenly toned.
It's worth a mention that I use this product with other natural products as part of my skin care regime. I cleanse in the evening with Kalyan Bamboo Charcoal Soap with Tea Tree, tone with Bee Natural Face Toner with Apple Cider Vinegar and moisturize with this product. In the morning I cleanse with Bee Natural Cleansing Balm, apply Essential Collection Anti-Ageing Serum and then finish off with my normal moisturizer.
